I love and am fascinated by art things...things that make marks or colors or shades. The fluidity of paint in particular. The way you use it conveys a sort of energy, sometimes quiet, sometimes wild, sometimes bold. Paint is so creamy and luscious. And then all the smooth papers, acetates, vellums, toothy watercolor papers that you can paint on. Endless. I experiment with that energy. Sometimes letting it run amok and sometimes pent up inside a barrier. Frenetic paint energy that can’t go beyond a wall. Fluidity, energy and movement are things that energize me and delight me.
