Born in 1932, artist Marilyn Henrion is a life-long New Yorker. A graduate of Cooper Union and Fordham University, she is represented in the Smithsonian Institution's Archives of American Art. Her textile-based artworks are included in museum, corporate, and private collections internationally. She has had over twenty solo exhibitions since 1999.
Her work is rooted in the urban geometry of her city surroundings, spanning earlier textile-based geometric abstractions through to more recent mixed media works. Other subjects such as music, poetry, and the natural world, also inform her practice.
