"My designs aim to balance artistic expression with wearability, creating pieces that feel personal, nostalgic, and a bit cynical."
How did you become interested in fashion design?
I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection between art and fashion. I practiced art from a young age, so pursuing fashion design felt like a very natural path for me.
What’s your favorite thing about being a fashion designer?
The ability to explore contemporary topics through design and express ideas in a tangible way. Also, the ability to bring ideas to life and see them worn by people around the world. I love the creative freedom and the opportunity to experiment with new materials and techniques.
What’s your design philosophy?
I like to incorporate cynicism and humor, these are values that guide my work. I focus on detail, quality, and functionality. My designs aim to balance artistic expression with wearability, creating pieces that feel personal, nostalgic, and a bit cynical.
Who are your design influences?
My design influences come from a wide range of directions. Recurring motifs or patterns from various sources often feel relevant to my design dialogue. Even content or trends that seem mundane on TikTok or other social media can spark ideas and research for me, and I often ask myself why they are interesting or relevant to people. Additionally, I draw inspiration from different works of art and unique combinations of materials I encounter on the street.
What’s your favorite material to work with?
In my work, I enjoy using unconventional materials to create objects that are entirely expressive and artistic. I also like to incorporate materials from more traditional realms, the foundations of jewelry and metalwork and combine them to produce non-conventional pieces and designs.
What’s your process for designing a new collection?
I look for a concept that feels new in the world of jewelry and accessories, starting with sketches and prototypes, experimenting with different materials, and refining each piece through multiple iterations. I also focus on how the pieces work together as a cohesive collection. My inspiration can come from many places, often I notice a recurring motif from different directions and realize it’s something I want to explore in my work.
