So Ye Oh was born in 1993 in Seoul, South Korea. She is a New York-based artist, making soft sculptures that resemble shabby dolls by painting on and using found fabrics. Building on her college studies in developmental psychology and further research carried out at graduate school, she focuses on themes of childhood and parenthood, especially the relationship between a mother and a child. So Ye Oh received a BA from the University of Michigan in 2016 and graduated from the MFA Fine Arts program at Pratt Institute in May 2020. Her work has been exhibited both in the USA and internationally, including numerous NYC institutions and the Do & Do Gallery Cafe, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.
