What's your design philosophy?
We believe in Timeless Couture where wearable art transcends fleeting trends. At LAVIELACE we harmonize architectural silhouettes with the soulful tradition of Romanian Point Lace. We design for the intellectual woman who views her wardrobe as a collection of ethically crafted, structurally unique jewelry pieces meant to be cherished for generations.

How did you become interested in fashion design?
A decade ago Victoria Lupașcu and Irina Moraru joined forces to bridge ancient craft with future fashion. Combining Victoria’s lifelong mastery of 18th-century lace with Irina’s academic art foundation and Polimoda fashion related knowledge, we reimagined Romanian Point Lace as a sophisticated language of luxury that celebrates artistic rigor and the feminine form.

What's your process for designing a new collection?
Our process fuses digital engineering with ancestral craft. It begins with hand-drawn sketches that are digitally vectorized for mathematical precision before being printed on canvas for manual needlework. This dual approach allows us to translate high-art craftsmanship into both red-carpet masterpieces and sophisticated casual essentials.

How important is sustainability in your designs?
Sustainability is our core. By practicing authentic Slow Fashion we bypass mass production to create small-batch or made-to-order pieces in our studio. Using natural fibers and ethical labor we produce durable heirlooms that stand as the antithesis of disposable fashion and promote conscious luxury consumption.

How do you balance creativity with wearability in your designs?
We achieve equilibrium through two distinct lines. Our Classic garments are bold sculptural statements for special occasions while our Casual line offers minimalist lace accents on fluid cuts for daily elegance. By pairing manual lace with fine Italian fabrics we ensure every piece provides both artistic impact and functional ease..
