Seoul-based brand Juun.J, the brainchild of Jung Wook Jun, made its debut during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in 2007 to great acclaim. The Korean designer’s masterful knowledge of tailoring meets inspiration drawn from youth and street culture to shatter old notions of style and invent new, modern silhouettes. By deconstructing and reconstructing familiar styles, the designer creates what he calls ‘Street Tailoring’. In recent seasons, the influential brand has worked with the likes of Canada Goose, Reebok, Ambush and adidas on a string of collaborations, bringing Junn.J’s unique perspective on the avant-garde, tailoring and classic menswear influences to each project.
“I've been talking about genderless for many, many years; it works with my future-looking vision at what's coming. I think this is my opportunity now, because more people know about genderless—I don't have to work so hard to explain what I'm trying to achieve with my designs.” (I-D, 2016)
