"I design for women who don’t need to be loud to be noticed. Femininity and strength are not opposites – they coexist. "
What’s your design philosophy?
Less, but stronger. I believe in architectural minimalism with emotion. Every cut, every line must have intention. I design for women who don’t need to be loud to be noticed. Femininity and strength are not opposites – they coexist.
What’s your process for designing a new collection?
It always starts with a feeling – not a trend. Sometimes it’s a texture, sometimes a movement, sometimes a memory of light on skin. From there, I build silhouettes around that emotion. Structure, proportion, and fabric behavior guide the process. Fittings are essential – the body always has the final word.
How do you balance creativity with wearability in your designs?
Creativity lives in construction, not decoration. I avoid excess. Even the boldest pieces must remain wearable. A woman should feel confident and elevated – never overwhelmed by the garment.
How important is sustainability in your designs?
For me, sustainability means longevity. I create timeless pieces that are not trend-driven. When a woman can wear something for years and still feel powerful in it – that is responsible design.
What’s next for you in your fashion design career?
The next step is expanding internationally while strengthening the brand’s architectural identity. I want Katea Gri to become not just a label, but a recognizable aesthetic language.
