"My work transforms vision into something tangible, where creativity becomes a shared experience between designer and wearer."
What's your favorite thing about being a fashion designer?
My favorite part of being a fashion designer is turning ideas into reality - bringing something that once existed only in my mind into the physical world. There’s something powerful about seeing others experience, reflect and connect with what was once just a vision. It makes the creative process feel alive, meaningful and shared.
What's your design philosophy?
My design philosophy is rooted in art, movement, my background, storytelling, conceptual thinking, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. I create pieces with longevity and sustainability in mind, collaborating with local artisans to preserve skill, quality, and human touch. I believe clothing should feel like a second skin - an extension of your identity while perfectly tailored - allowing you to express who you are while wearing something that is both art and deeply personal. Something that mass market can’t do.
How do you handle creative block?
When I face a creative block, I push through by returning to the foundation: I revisit old sketches and ideas, knowing that not everything needs to be entirely new. The fashion industry can be tough, but I rely on the groundwork I’ve laid - reshaping or refining designs until they take on new life. Ultimately, I trust that the creative spark returns through persistence and exploration of the work I’ve already envisioned.
What advice would you give to someone interested in fashion design?
My advice is to be brutally honest with yourself about the level of sacrifice and resilience you’re willing to commit. Fashion is fiercely competitive and no one will hand you success - you are your own driving force. You must have the courage to show up every day, push your vision forward, and strategize your path - because ultimately, no one will champion your ideas if you don’t.
How do you stay inspired?
I don’t rely on inspiration as a prerequisite for my work. Instead, I stay consistent by following genuine interests. I’m curious about many themes and concepts, and it’s that curiosity that guides me - researching, understanding, and ultimately communicating those stories through my designs. Interest and curiosity keep me moving, even when inspiration is elusive.
