MONPLISSÉ PARIS BY Claire Lee

Monplissé Paris, a brand led by director Claire Lee, is a pleated wear brand inspired by the French mood, creating wearable ‘easy-wear’ based on natural silhouettes and sensual colors. After majoring in French literature and culture, and 7 years of experience in producing and planning pleats-wear for women's clothing brands, she decided to create a more youthful, easy-to-wear pleated clothes brand, and launched today’s Monplissé Paris.

I really like the word "classic". I want to make clothes that people can continue to like even after years. So, I am constantly trying to incorporate classical elements into a somewhat mania style of pleated wear.

What are the inspirations of your clothes and your brand?
I get the most inspiration on the “street”. As I pursue easy-wear, I always look at people's clothes in real life rather than colorful collection and think about how to implement them as “pleated clothes”.

Classic or Trendy?
I really like the word "classic". I want to make clothes that people can continue to like even after years. So, I am constantly trying to incorporate classical elements into a somewhat mania style of pleated wear.
