MINI INTERVIEW

How did you become interested in fashion design?
This is quite an interesting story. By profession, I’m a designer – a graphic designer – and I tried countless times to establish myself as one. But somehow, it never truly sparked anything in me. Interior design, kitchen design, industrial design, jewelry design – none of it ever really captivated me. Years later, after I had shifted into sales, something unexpected happened. A friend of mine owed me money but couldn’t pay me back. At the time, he was making leather harnesses, and as a way to settle the debt, he offered to give me some of his pieces. I agreed and started selling them. Soon, clients began asking if I had anything elastic. That’s when the idea struck me – I created straps and started making similar products out of fabric. This became the foundation of my brand, which I launched nine years ago.

What's your favorite thing about being a fashion designer?
What I love most about being a fashion designer is how my clothing can influence people’s moods and how happy they feel when expressing themselves.

What's your design philosophy?
My philosophy is to be unique, stand out from the crowd, and be bi-sexy. My philosophy is to be unforgettable, different, expressive, self-loving, and confidently sexy.

Who are your design influences?
I adore Alexander McQueen, Mugler, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Saint Laurent. These are my four favorite brands.

What do you think are the most important skills for a fashion designer?
A strong sense of creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to translate emotions into garments are essential. It’s also crucial to have technical skills—such as pattern making, draping, and understanding fabrics—as well as a good grasp of storytelling through design.
