The beginnings of the SOFIE.STOREE brand date back to 2016, when the brand's founder, who was pregnant at the time, sought out clothes that were practical, comfortable, yet fashionable. Faced with a lack of such clothing on the market, and then the birth of her daughter, she decided to begin knitting. Soon after the brand expanded. Since 2017 the founder and her team have been hatching a plan to create a brand, develop a particular aesthetic, and seek out high-quality yarn and accessories. Their mission? To craft a brand that not only epitomized a distinct aesthetic but also sourced the finest yarns and accessories, all in the pursuit of excellence. By the time 2021 rolled around, they had not only achieved their dreams but had also launched expansive collections that transcended borders, gracing not only Ukraine but the entire world. #supportUkraine
"I love working on creating new capsule collections. This is a very painstaking and hard work, from the choice of style, knitting, yarn, accessories to the first sample."
When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career as a designer?
I think that I’ve known that all my life, I remember myself in childhood when I used to buy Glamour and Vogue magazines and cut out the most beautiful bows, which, by the way, I still have saved in a box. It was always interesting to read about fashion and learn the latest news. I'm a shopaholic too.
Who is your style icon and why?
I aim for a restrained style. Therefore, I love to watch collections that suit the liking and style of my brand – Max Mara and Loro Piana are worth mentioning, but I also never miss what brands like Chanel and Dior have to offer. This is a timeless classic, I love it.
