What's your favorite thing about being a fashion designer?
My favorite thing about being a fashion designer is the ability to bring ideas to life and create pieces that resonate with people. Seeing someone wear and connect with something I’ve designed is incredibly rewarding. It’s a mix of artistry, storytelling, and self-expression all in one.
What's your design philosophy?
My design philosophy is all about balancing distinctive creativity with timeless appeal. I focus on clean, intentional designs that make a statement without being overcomplicated. Every piece should feel unique yet wearable, with meaning behind the form—whether it's through symbolism, structure, or the way it interacts with the wearer.
How do you stay up-to-date with fashion trends?
I stay up to date with fashion trends by keeping a close eye on runway shows, emerging designers, and fresh street style from around the world. Social media, art, and cultural movements also play a big role in influencing what’s next. But while I stay aware of trends, I focus on creating pieces that feel timeless and unique rather than just following what’s popular.
How do you handle criticism of your designs?
I view criticism as an opportunity to grow and improve. While it can be tough at times, I try to approach it with an open mind and see if there’s something valuable I can learn from it. Constructive feedback helps refine my designs and pushes me to think outside the box. Ultimately, I stay true to my vision, but I always keep room for learning and evolving.
What's the most sustainable material you've ever used in a design?
The most sustainable material I've ever used in a design is recycled office paper. I transformed it into a unique collection of jewelry, giving it new life and purpose. It was a great way to combine sustainability with creativity, and it allowed me to explore eco-friendly alternatives while still maintaining the integrity of my designs.
