How did you become interested in fashion design?
My passion for shoes, and collecting them, has led me to take an interest in designing my own. It is a field that offers opportunities for self-expression and innovation in the world of fashion and design.
What's your favorite thing about being a shoe fashion designer??
As a fashion designer, I am fascinated by the opportunity to creatively express my imagination through the creation of unique looks and collections. One of the most rewarding aspects is witnessing a shoe design come to life—from initial sketches and prototypes to the final product on the store shelf or worn by customers. This brings me personal satisfaction as my work brings joy.
What's your design philosophy?
Philosophy of SHAMA is to create luxurious, timeless, and comfortable shoes based on a comfortable pad.
Who are your design influences?
I love the early works of Salvatore Ferragamo, with his innovative approach to shoe design and the use of unique materials; he is considered a pioneer in this field. Manolo Blahnik, on the other hand, is renowned for his luxury shoe designs, celebrated for their craftsmanship and timeless elegance.
How do you stay up-to-date with fashion trends?
Nowadays, it's challenging to keep up with fashion trends because they constantly evolve. However, in my case, I regularly read fashion magazines such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, along with publications dedicated to shoes, to stay abreast of the latest footwear trends. Online fashion websites and blogs are also popular sources for staying updated on trends. Additionally, I actively follow fashion events and draw inspiration from them, including fashion weeks and other events in the fashion world where the latest trends are often showcased. I believe these are some of the best ways to stay in tune with fashion trends.
