NAEITA BY NICOLE AND ELIZABETH

NAEITA is an accessories brand founded by Italian sisters, Nicole and Elizabeth, based respectively in New York and in Venice. Nicole, a practicing architect, brings to NAEITA a keen sense of detail and form while Elizabeth, a designer and material researcher, advances ideas of texture and color through the use of sustainable materials.

MINI INTERVIEW WITH NICOLE AND ELIZABETH

Where do you look for creative inspiration?
NAEITA began one afternoon on Conero's beach in Italy. Turquoise water, not a cloud in the sky, it was the perfect summer day. This beach is not made of sand. Thousands of stones shaped by wind and water formed that land. We spent the whole afternoon collecting and studying them, amazed by their infinite variation of shapes and colors. There in nature we found the inspiration for the 1st NAEITA's designs. We decided we wanted to combine our expertise in architecture and fashion to create portable sculpture inspired by nature.   

How would you describe NAEITA’s aesthetics?
Clean, fluid lines inspired by nature are at the base of NAEITA's aesthetic. Each piece is unique and personal. Warm imperfections.  

Heel or flat?
Heel. Having a view has value.  

Black or white?
Black for work, white for everything else.   

Coffee or tea?
Caffe' always.

Beach or mountain?
Walking on the beach when the sun is setting down. 

What makes you smile the most?
Our father.
