How did you become interested in fashion design?
As far back as I can remember, fashion was a language I felt deeply connected to. Growing up in Hungary, I was surrounded by a culture rich in tradition and bold expressions of art. For me, fashion became a way to communicate my identity and to explore individuality beyond words. Moving to Barcelona only deepened my fascination; this city pulses with creativity, diversity, and fearless expression.
Fashion is a space where rules are made to be reinvented, and that idea captivated me. I wanted to create something that resonates with every woman’s story, something versatile and authentic. NO MATTER WHAT is my way of blending these influences into a brand that champions both style and substance, empowering women to feel as bold and unique as they truly are.
How important is sustainability in your designs?
Sustainability is absolutely essential to my design philosophy. At NO MATTER WHAT, I believe fashion should be as kind to the planet as it is empowering to the wearer. To me, creating a beautiful piece isn’t enough if it doesn’t consider its impact on the world around us. That’s why we use mindfully sourced materials and responsible production practices, making sure our designs are not only stylish but sustainable.
I want our pieces to inspire confidence in the women who wear them, knowing they’re making a choice that respects both their values and the environment. Sustainability is woven into every stitch, every decision, because I believe that true style considers the future.
What's your favorite thing about being a fashion designer?
My favorite thing about being a fashion designer is the opportunity to create pieces that genuinely empower people. Fashion has this incredible ability to transform not just how you look but how you feel. I love the idea that something I design can make someone stand a little taller, feel more confident, or embrace a part of themselves they might not always express.
It’s also thrilling to work with such diverse influences and ideas—from Hungarian craftsmanship to the vibrant energy of Barcelona—and to blend them into something fresh and unexpected. I want NO MATTER WHAT to be more than clothes; I want it to be a lifestyle, an experience, a reminder that everyone deserves to feel fabulous, no matter where they are or what they’re doing.
How do you handle criticism of your designs?
For me, criticism is part of the journey—it's a chance to grow, refine, and push my designs even further. I genuinely believe that good feedback, even if it’s challenging, comes from a place of insight. Each piece I design is meant to connect with people in a meaningful way, and hearing different perspectives helps me understand what resonates and what doesn’t.
At NOMATTERWHAT, I’m always balancing boldness with versatility, so if someone questions a design choice, I see it as an opportunity to ask myself: Does this align with my vision of empowering women to feel both chic and casual, bold and comfortable? If it does, I stand by it; if not, I’m ready to adapt. Fashion, after all, is about breaking molds and evolving.
What's your favorite fashion city?
Barcelona is, without a doubt, my favorite city. It’s a place where creativity is celebrated in every corner, from the architecture to the art and, of course, the fashion. Living here has been a constant source of inspiration—the colors, the textures, the energy of the people, it all fuels my designs.
There’s also a unique mix of tradition and modernity in Barcelona that I connect with deeply. It’s a city where you can feel free to express yourself, to be bold and different, and that spirit is at the heart of NO MATTER WHAT. For me, Barcelona isn’t just a place; it’s a muse that keeps my creative fire alive.
