Metamorphoza’s dedication to sustainable practices includes selecting quality, ethically-sourced fabrics, from Oeko-Tex® certified to recycled materials. Designed for versatility and longevity, our clothing encourages personal expression while embracing environmental responsibility and thoughtful craftsmanship.
"A priority for us is to create clothes that will endure—both literally and figuratively. Our designs aren’t driven by passing trends but are inspired by the individual’s need to express themselves through style."
How did you become interested in fashion design?
Art has fascinated me since childhood, and over time, this interest naturally evolved into an expression through fashion. I began by redrawing well-known fashion creations and eventually moved on to designing my own. To me, fashion is the most accessible way to connect with contemporary art, as it reflects our way of life and self-expression in the present moment. It allows us to present ourselves without words, experiment, and showcase different moods, trends, and, ultimately, our unique individuality.
What's your favorite material to work with?
Denim is one of my favorite materials. It’s highly adaptable to various chemical treatments and suits designs with diverse volumes and widths. Denim offers a vast field for creative expression, yet most people primarily associate it with classic denim pants, which have become something of a uniform.
How important is sustainability in your designs?
Sustainability in fashion is of paramount importance, and everyone working in the field should pay special attention to it. This is why we have embraced sustainability as our mission, continually integrating good practices into all aspects of our work.
A priority for us is to create clothes that will endure—both literally and figuratively. Our designs aren’t driven by passing trends but are inspired by the individual’s need to express themselves through style. We also guarantee the quality of our garments.
Design is at the heart of our clothing, but fabrics are their soul. That's why we constantly seek the highest-quality, most comfortable materials and use only OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics.
As part of our sustainability policy, we also utilize deadstock and recycled fabrics for our pieces. Responsible fashion is something we truly believe in, so we are delighted to give new life to overstocked fabrics that meet our high standards for quality. Last but not least, our asymmetric silhouettes, unconventional lengths, and combinations of diverse materials not only define our unique and extravagant look but also enable us to shape our cuts with minimal fabric waste. Any remaining fabric pieces are repurposed for other models or accessories, helping us work toward our zero-waste goals.
We are also committed to sustainable practices in our office, such as using water purifiers, sensor lighting, and other small steps that our team practices both at work and at home.
How do you balance creativity with wearability in your designs?
This can sometimes be quite challenging, as certain pieces in our collection lean more towards creativity than wearability. However, we always strive to ensure each design is not only intriguing but also practical enough for comfortable wear. Occasionally, creativity has to take a backseat to comfort, as, ultimately, that’s the primary function of clothing. Our goal is to strike a balance, where artistry and practicality meet, creating pieces that inspire while feeling natural and enjoyable to wear.
How do you stay inspired?
Inspiration comes in many forms. For me, art, in its various expressions, is my greatest source of inspiration. I often look to the East, particularly Japan and China, drawing deeply from their historical and contemporary art, their way of life, and their approach to dress. I find the contrast between Eastern and Western cultures especially fascinating, and this interplay is something we frequently explore and develop within our designs. This blending of influences allows us to create pieces that not only respect traditional aesthetics but also bring a fresh perspective to modern fashion.
