How did you become interested in fashion design?
I’ve always been interested in art since childhood, but over time, I gradually developed a passion for fashion design. I graduated from the Fashion and Textile Design department in 2007, at the age of eighteen—that’s when my journey in fashion truly began.
What’s your design philosophy?
My design philosophy is rooted in the importance of originality and self-expression. I believe that everyone is unique. At the same time, sustainability and ethical production are essential to me. In my designs, I strive to combine aesthetics with artistic expression.
What do you think are the most important skills for a fashion designer?
The most important skill for a fashion designer is to reflect their inner inspiration in their creations.
What’s your favorite material to work with?
My favorite material to work with is denim.
What’s your favorite season to design for?
My favorite season for designing is spring.
How important is sustainability in your design?
Sustainability is important in our designs. We prefer to use recycled fabrics, but sustainability goes beyond fabric choice. I believe fashion needs to slow down. Consumption must decrease if we are to move toward a more sustainable world. Even when using sustainable or recycled materials, the pace of fashion remains a critical issue. To contribute meaningfully, we should focus on releasing fewer collections.
What’s the most important accessory in a wardrobe?
I think the most essential wardrobe accessories are a white T-shirt and a black T-shirt.
