What’s your process for designing a new collection?
Every LITZI piece tells a story, so I always start with writing—checking in with what I’m feeling, what we need in terms of energy, tone, and, of course, fun! From there, I move to sketching, old-school pencil and paper, to see what images and words come forward. Then, I refine the design in Illustrator and develop a 3D model in CAD. That model is printed in wax, cast in sterling silver (or another metal of choice), et… voilà!
What’s the biggest trend you see in fashion right now?
Authenticity. People are creating their own vibe, mixing bold choices with personal touches. It’s less about following trends and more about wearing pieces that reflect who you are and how you feel.
What’s the most important accessory in a wardrobe?
Jewelry, obviously! It’s the easiest way to take any outfit up a notch. A plain white tee and jeans? Jewelry makes it pop. All black? Jewelry levels it up. The more, the merrier!
How do you balance creativity with wearability in your designs?
If it’s not comfortable, I won’t wear it. I love bold, eye-catching pieces that make people smile, but if I can’t move through my day wearing them, what’s the point?
How do you stay inspired?
Morning walks! No music, no podcast—just me and the outside world. It clears my head and helps me check in with what creative direction I want to take that day. Some days are for design, some for content creation, some for office work, and I like to approach each one with a fresh, uninfluenced mind.
How important is collaboration in fashion design?
Collaboration has been a huge part of LITZI’s journey. Some of my earliest collections were in partnership with artists and women I admire, like MissMe and Liz Plank. There’s something special about bringing together different perspectives, skills, and communities. Creativity expands when we share it, and LITZI has grown so much because of that.
