CICATRICES IMPRIMÉES is a completely independent brand started by an outsider. All shoes are handcrafted in Italy by experienced artisans according to the highest quality standards while being careful to produce only the number of models and quantities really needed. A behind-the-scenes look at the project: Through the lens of imagination, the entire project aims to bring introspective reflections to a creative level. This approach leaves its mark in the collections with distinctive elements such as bold lines and contrasting textures. Founded in Milan, the brand draws inspiration from all human experiences, positive and negative.

How important is sustainability in your designs?
Very important. All shoes are handcrafted in Italy using green energy and ensuring traceability along the supply chain, protection of human rights and fair working conditions.

What's your design philosophy?
Attentive to aesthetics and quality and disinterested in resorting to trends. I design to translate personal experiences into meaningful things.

How do you stay inspired?
I really like photography and going to exhibitions. I get inspired by many things: old movies, music, perfumes or even just a walk.

How do you see the future of fashion?
More inclusive and environmentally conscious. I encourage to buy fewer, better things.

What's next for you in your fashion design career?
I would like to continue expressing myself through my brand and would also like to work on other projects at the same time.
